10-year-old boy killed in Delhi hit-and-run incident

A 10-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run accident in northwest Delhi on Tuesday. The incident occurred in Shahbad Dairy when the child, identified as Angad, was crossing the road. A speeding tempo struck him, causing serious injuries. The driver did not stop and fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. Witnesses quickly took Angad to a hospital, but he was declared dead upon arrival. His body was sent to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital for an autopsy and later returned to his family. Angad lived with his parents in Shahbad Daulatpur. His father, Ajay Kumar, worked as a daily wage laborer, and Angad attended a government school as a fifth-grade student. Police reported that during their investigation, they determined the tempo had a Delhi registration number. They identified the driver, named Harish, who is now being sought. Authorities have seized the vehicle and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to help locate him. The police have stated they are making every effort to arrest the driver responsible for this tragic incident.
