12-year-old girl in Gwalior kills 4-year-old boy
A tragic incident occurred in Gwalior, where a 12-year-old girl is accused of murdering a four-year-old boy named Devraj Vanshkar. His body was discovered buried near a construction site after the girl confessed to the crime during police questioning. Devraj went missing on Tuesday. His parents reported him after noticing he was last seen with the girl. The police interviewed her multiple times, and her story kept changing. At one point, she claimed she was possessed by evil spirits. A female officer pretending to be possessed by a deity helped draw out the truth. The investigation revealed that the girl had lured Devraj with the promise of picking berries but allegedly strangled him and hit his head with a stone. She then buried his body in a pit meant for a construction pillar near where they both lived. Initial reports showed signs of strangulation and head injuries, but an autopsy is pending to confirm the details. Devraj's parents recently moved to Gwalior for work. Responses from the girl included confusing explanations about where she left Devraj, including claims that dogs took him or a sorcerer was involved. Police used an unusual tactic, placing an eight-year-old child with her to see if she could lead them to the body, which ultimately confirmed her confession. Authorities are examining the girl's mental state and the possibility that she may have been influenced by black magic or rituals. The investigation continues as police try to uncover the circumstances surrounding this unsettling case. More than 50 officers and a dog squad had previously searched for Devraj before the girl’s confession led to the discovery of his body.
