125 KW solar project approved for Nashik sub-centre

A 125 KW solar energy project has been approved for the Nashik sub-centre of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). This initiative aims to provide uninterrupted power while promoting the use of renewable energy. The project will save a significant amount on electricity costs. It is part of a larger effort called the ‘Solar Electricity Generation – Green Project.’ Epirock Company Ltd. will collaborate with SPPU, with a formal agreement expected soon. Sagar Vaidya, a member of the Nashik Management Council, has worked hard for nine months to secure funding for this project as part of the university's ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations. Key university officials, including Vice-Chancellor Professor Suresh Gosavi, have supported the effort. Professor Gosavi emphasized the environmental benefits of using solar energy and the improvement it will bring to the university's electricity infrastructure. Vaidya noted that the project aligns with the goal of creating a green campus and will save the university millions in construction costs for the Nashik sub-centre.
