Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 13-year-old Indian batsman, has become the youngest player ever sold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. He was signed by the Rajasthan Royals for 11 million rupees (about €125,000). Suryavanshi gained attention after playing for his state team in January and later scoring a century for India’s under-19 team against Australia. He has only played one professional T20 match prior to his IPL signing. He will be coached by former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid and joins a team that includes several national players.
