15-year-old killed in Geauga County car crash

A car crash in Geauga County, Ohio, has resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy. The accident occurred early Saturday morning around 1 a.m. The crash involved a Ford pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old. The truck was traveling east on Burton Heights Boulevard when it went off the road and hit a tree near State Route 44 in Newbury Township. Two other teens, an 18-year-old and the driver, suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital. However, the 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported that none of the teens were wearing seatbelts, and speed is believed to have contributed to the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released the names of those involved.
