19-year-old arrested for Summerville shooting incident

A shooting happened in a Summerville neighborhood on Tuesday, March 18. The police arrested a 19-year-old suspect named Sincere Joseph Lee. The Summerville Police Department reported that they received calls about gunfire near Woodduck Drive and Canvasback Drive around 5:51 p.m. Witnesses said they heard 12 to 15 gunshots. They also saw a white vehicle leaving the area quickly. Some people were seen running from the scene as well. When the police arrived, they found several shell casings at the intersection. A witness, Yvonne Chase, described the suspect as a Black male who was running with his hand on his waistband. She even took a photo of him and shared it with the police. Officers soon found a man that looked like the suspect nearby and detained him. During questioning, Lee admitted to the shooting. Police also found the gun that was used. He now faces multiple charges, including four counts of attempted murder and a weapons offense. Lee has been taken to the Summerville Police Department. The investigation is still ongoing. Detectives are continuing to collect evidence and talk to witnesses. The police are asking anyone with more information to come forward.
