2025 F1 season features 24 races from March to December
The 2025 Formula 1 season will feature a total of 24 races, taking place from March to December. The season kicks off in Australia, with the opening race at Albert Park in Melbourne on March 16. This marks a return to Australia as the starting point for the season after previous events have been moved around due to various circumstances. Lewis Hamilton will make his debut for Ferrari at the first race. This season, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have shifted their races to April because of Ramadan. China and Japan have also moved their races earlier in the calendar. The last race of the season is set for December 7 in Abu Dhabi. Notably, the British Grand Prix will occur from July 4 to July 6 at Silverstone. Pre-season testing is scheduled for February 26 to 28 in Bahrain, just two weeks before the first race. Several other changes in the racing calendar include a triple-header in April with races in Japan, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. Spain's race has been moved to the end of May and early June, while Belgium and Hungary have swapped their race weekends. In 2026, a new race in Madrid is expected to change the F1 landscape, potentially ending Barcelona's long-standing venue status. For now, teams and fans look forward to an exciting season ahead filled with multiple sprint weekends and a tight schedule.
