2025 Toyota Land Cruiser features oversized screen bezels
Toyota has updated its Land Cruiser 300, which is sold in select markets, including Japan. The SUV has been on the market for nearly four years, and this update brings some notable changes inside. One of the main updates is the digital instrument cluster, which has increased in size from 4.2 inches to 7 inches. However, the most talked-about change is the new infotainment screen. The previous 9-inch touchscreen has been replaced with an 8-inch screen that comes with very large bezels. It does not have physical buttons next to it, leading to concerns about its overall look and functionality. Despite some design issues, the volume knob remains, but the traditional tune knob has been removed. Customers who want a larger screen can choose the 12.3-inch touchscreen option, which would surely be more appealing for a flagship vehicle like the Land Cruiser. Furthermore, the new model no longer includes a CD/DVD player, which has been removed in favor of an HDMI port for multimedia content. This change reflects a trend away from compact discs, as fewer cars are equipped with them nowadays. In Japan, the starting price for the 2025 Land Cruiser 300 is about 5,252,500 yen, which is around $35,000. The top-tier GR Sport model costs about 8,136,700 yen, or $54,000.
