2025 WBIT features 32 teams competing for title

The 2025 Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT) is ready to begin. This tournament includes 32 teams that did not qualify for the NCAA Tournament. It provides an opportunity for these teams to compete for a title. The WBIT, now in its second year, serves as the main alternative postseason option for women's basketball. It offers automatic bids to the top four teams that just missed making the NCAA Tournament, as well as to conference champions that were not selected. The tournament will start on March 16 and will conclude with the championship game on April 2. Early rounds will be played at campus sites, while the semifinals and finals will take place at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Fans can watch all games on ESPN+ and ESPNU.
