376 grievances resolved for veterans in Madikeri event

An Army Veterans’ Outreach event took place in Madikeri on Monday. It was organized for veterans, their families, and veer naris from the Madikeri and Virajpet areas. Senior military officials, including Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, attended the event. Lt. Gen. Dhiraj Seth spoke with veterans and expressed gratitude for their service. He emphasized the Army's commitment to supporting veterans and their families. The outreach drew about 565 participants. During the event, officials addressed 376 grievances related to pensions and other benefits. They came from seven record offices tied to the Southern Command and the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts in Bengaluru. Medical teams offered help to 72 patients, and a cancer screening camp was held, screening 19 individuals. Various organizations also provided information on welfare schemes and job opportunities for veterans. The event was positively received by attendees, according to a press release.
