3D-printed lever offers solution for new Mac mini power button placement
A new hack has emerged to address the awkward location of the power button on the new Mac mini, which is now located on the underside. Engineer Ivan Kuleshov has designed a 3D-printed lever that makes the button more accessible. Kuleshov's lever works by using a fulcrum mechanism, allowing users to press one end to activate the power button. He created the design based on photos and dimensions, as the new Mac mini is not yet available for shipping until November 8, 2024. While the lever offers a solution, it does extend from the side of the Mac mini, increasing its desk footprint. Users who frequently power down their devices may find this design helpful, but it may not be ideal for everyone.
