A 4-year-old boy was injured in an accidental shooting in Jackson on Tuesday night. The incident happened around 8 p.m. when the boy and his 5-year-old brother were playing at home on Glenmary Street. According to police, the children found a handgun in a drawer. The 5-year-old accidentally shot his brother in the ankle. Both boys are siblings and were staying with their father at the time. The 4-year-old was taken to a local hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries, which are not life-threatening. The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services was notified to look into the situation. As of now, no charges have been filed against anyone involved.
