59 Section III softball teams kick off preseason activities

Last week, 59 softball teams from Section III gathered for a media day in Syracuse, New York. The event took place at Cicero-North Syracuse and Onondaga Community College. Players and coaches met to celebrate the upcoming season. They took photos, chatted with rivals, and discussed their hopes for the year. Practices for the teams started this week. In addition to the media day, there were highlights about some top players. Reports included the leading pitchers and batters in the region from last year. There was also a focus on a local athlete who overcame serious challenges and a rising star who committed to a Division I program.
