Meta launches Llama 3 AI model with enhanced capabilities

Meta has launched Llama 3, a more advanced AI model with improved reasoning abilities. It comes in two sizes: 8bn and 70bn parameters. Llama 3 is open source for developers but will charge big cloud giants for training. Meta AI, incorporating Llama 3, will expand to new countries but is not yet available in the EU and UK. Meta is also developing a 405bn parameter version.
