74-year-old man critically injured in Bay City fire

A house fire in Bay City, Michigan, on March 17 has left a 74-year-old man in critical condition. The fire occurred around 4:30 p.m. at a two-story home on East White Street. Firefighters quickly responded to the scene after reports of the fire. They found heavy smoke coming from the upper floor of the house. Upon entering, they discovered the man near the front door and rescued him. He was then taken by ambulance to Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Crews worked to control the blaze by scaling ladders and ventilating the roof. Once they opened a section of the roof, flames erupted. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire before it caused further damage. Fortunately, no other people or firefighters were injured in this incident. Investigators are currently looking into what caused the fire. Firefighters from neighboring townships assisted in the response.
