Nearly 75% of assurances made by Union Ministers in Parliament in 2024 remain unfulfilled, according to the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry. Out of 160 assurances, only 39 were completed, leaving 119 pending. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasized that assurances should ideally be honored within three months. He noted that a new Online Assurances Monitoring System was launched in 2018 to improve tracking and fulfillment of these commitments. Despite the Minister's claim that 99% of assurances were resolved, Aam Aadmi Party member Sanjay Singh pointed out discrepancies, stating that 1,324 assurances were still pending. Rijiju acknowledged that 547 were pending in the Rajya Sabha and 764 in the Lok Sabha.
