76% of UK teachers feel unprepared for AI
A new study by Twinkl shows that 76% of UK teachers and 69% of US teachers feel unprepared for using AI in education. Despite 62% of US and 60% of UK educators regularly using AI, many have received little to no formal training. Teachers report that AI helps reduce their workload, with over 80% saving time each week. However, concerns remain about the adequacy of regulations, data privacy, and the reliability of AI-generated content. Educators want more training and support for AI use, focusing on lesson planning, content creation, and grading automation. The study highlights the urgent need for comprehensive training to ensure effective and responsible AI integration in schools.
