79-year-old Japanese woman sells beloved Mazda RX-7 after 25 years
Naoko Nishimoto, a 79-year-old from Nagasaki, Japan, is parting with her beloved 1999 Mazda RX-7 after 25 years. She plans to voluntarily surrender her driver’s license as she approaches her 80th birthday. Nishimoto's RX-7, inspired by the anime "Initial D," has been well-maintained and is still in great condition. She received around 400 inquiries about the car but chose Mazda's offer to restore it for promotional events. Nishimoto expressed satisfaction with this decision, viewing it as a fitting conclusion to her time with the car. She hopes it will inspire others as it did for her.
