83-year-old man dies after crosswalk accident in Gettysburg

An 83-year-old man from Adams County has died after being hit by a vehicle in Gettysburg. The incident occurred just after noon on March 14, in a crosswalk on West Street. The man, identified as John Peterson, suffered multiple blunt force injuries. He was first taken to Gettysburg Hospital but later moved to WellSpan York Hospital due to the seriousness of his condition. He was pronounced dead early Sunday morning. An autopsy was performed on Monday. There are currently no updates on the investigation surrounding the accident.
