83-year-old man killed in Mount Prospect crash

A crash in Mount Prospect, Illinois, resulted in the death of an 83-year-old man on Monday evening. Police identified the victim as Victor Lebron of Mount Prospect. The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Wolf Road and Thayer Street. Police say Lebron was turning his Chrysler SUV left onto Wolf Road when a Mercedes Benz sedan collided with him. Responding officers found Lebron unresponsive inside his vehicle. He was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The other driver, a 21-year-old man from Des Plaines, was not injured in the crash. In the aftermath, all lanes of Wolf Road between Feehanville Drive and Central Road were closed for the investigation. The Mount Prospect Police Department is conducting a detailed investigation into the incident.
