A24 has acquired the U.S. rights to the horror-thriller "Victorian Psycho," starring Margaret Qualley and Thomasin McKenzie. The film, directed by Zachary Wigon, is based on a novel by Virginia Feito and is set to begin production in March 2025. The story follows a young governess, Winifred Notty, who arrives at a gothic manor in 1858. As she teaches the children, her psychopathic tendencies lead to mysterious disappearances among the staff. McKenzie plays a nursemaid who befriends Notty. This project marks the second collaboration between Wigon and Qualley. The film is produced by Dan Kagan and Sebastien Raybaud, with Anton financing and handling international rights.
