A24 has released the trailer for "Warfare," a war drama directed by Iraq War veteran Ray Mendoza and filmmaker Alex Garland. The film, set in Iraq in 2006, depicts a US Navy SEALs mission that quickly turns chaotic. "Warfare" is based on Mendoza's real-life experiences, with D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai portraying a character inspired by him. The film aims to present a real-time narrative of modern warfare. The movie is scheduled for release in 2025. Mendoza previously collaborated with Garland as a military supervisor on the film "Civil War," which earned over $126 million globally.
