A350-1000 offers higher capacity and longer range
Airbus has two main passenger variants of the A350: the A350-900 and the A350-1000. The A350-900, which entered service in January 2015, has 550 deliveries, while the A350-1000, which began service in February 2017, has only 95 deliveries. The A350-1000 is longer at 73.79 meters, allowing for a higher passenger capacity of up to 480, compared to the A350-900's maximum of 440. Both models share the same wingspan, but the A350-1000 has a larger wing area, enhancing its performance. In terms of range, the A350-1000 can fly 8,900 nautical miles, while the A350-900 typically reaches 8,300 nautical miles. However, the A350-900ULR variant can fly up to 9,700 nautical miles, thanks to its low-density seating and increased fuel capacity.
