Abhay Verma appointed BJP chief whip in Delhi Assembly

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Abhay Verma as its new chief whip in the Delhi Assembly. Verma is a two-time MLA from Laxmi Nagar. The announcement was made after a BJP meeting held at the Assembly complex. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi unit chief Virendra Sachdeva were present at the meeting. Sachdeva praised Verma, calling him a "well-known Purvanchali face in Delhi." He expressed confidence that Verma will handle the responsibilities of chief whip effectively due to his experience. Abhay Verma has a strong background in party leadership. He previously served as the head of the BJP's Purvanchal Morcha and has been vice president of the party’s city unit for four terms.
