Abu Dhabi offers free buses for mosque visitors during Ramadan

Abu Dhabi has taken steps to help visitors reach Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque during the last days of Ramadan. The Integrated Transport Centre, known as Abu Dhabi Mobility, has introduced new services to ease traffic and improve mobility. To assist worshippers, ten free bus routes have been launched. These buses connect the mosque with the Bus Interchange in Al Rabdan. The service will run throughout Ramadan, especially during busy prayer times. It aims to provide safe and reliable transport for those attending prayers. Additionally, new traffic management measures are in place. Digital cameras will monitor roads and intersections around the mosque. This will help spot traffic jams and emergencies quickly. Mobile signs will direct drivers to parking areas, while fixed signs will show the best routes to take. Field inspectors will be present at traffic signals to manage the flow of vehicles. Road Service Patrol units and towing services are prepared to address any accidents that could cause delays. Lastly, to accommodate the increased demand for taxis, an extra 100 taxis will be available each day. During the busiest days of Ramadan, more taxis will be added to ensure everyone can reach the mosque easily. Overall, these efforts aim to create a smooth and safe experience for visitors during this important month.
