Actor Eva Phillips returns to perform in Hamilton
Eva Phillips, a young actor from Swanmore, Hampshire, is thrilled to be performing in Hamilton at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton. This theatre holds special memories for her as she grew up watching shows there. Phillips discovered her love for musical theatre when she was just five or six years old. She vividly remembers seeing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the same theatre and feeling captivated. Her passion for performing led her to train professionally, earning top honors from The Urdang Academy in London. Now, returning to her home city to perform in Hamilton is a significant moment for Phillips. She expressed her joy about being part of the show and performing where she has seen many performances. She is excited that her friends and family can watch her on stage. Hamilton, created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, a founding father of the United States. The musical has been a success since its debut on Broadway in 2015, known for its fast-paced lyrics and energetic dance numbers. The show is currently on its first UK tour and will run at the Mayflower Theatre until April 26.
