Acura launches sustainable ADX SUV with premium audio
Acura has launched its new SUV, the ADX, which focuses on sustainability and high-quality sound. This compact, gas-powered SUV joins the current Acura lineup, including the MDX, RDX, TLX, and ZDX. Acura’s parent company, Honda, aims for carbon neutrality by 2050 and plans to sell only electric vehicles in North America by 2040. The 2025 ADX features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 190 horsepower. It shares similarities with Acura's Integra sport sedan, including its sporty ride and suspension. Acura hopes the ADX will attract a younger audience, with a starting price of $35,000. The SUV offers advanced technology, including Google built-in features and a cloud-based car system called AcuraLink. Safety features include new airbags designed to reduce head rotation during collisions. The ADX also has body-stabilizing front seats that help reduce driver fatigue on long journeys. A standout feature of the ADX is its 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. The cabin includes acoustic insulation to create a quiet environment for enjoying music. Bang & Olufsen also emphasizes sustainability by offering repairs for old products instead of encouraging disposal. Overall, the ADX aims to combine luxury, comfort, and a commitment to environmental responsibility, aligning with Honda's recycling initiatives.
