Adarsh Nagar family charged with attempted murder
A family in Adarsh Nagar has been accused of attempting to murder their neighbor during a dispute on Holi. The Daba police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against five known individuals and are searching for six more suspects. The main accused are Sanjiv Kumar, his brother Santosh Kumar, their father Rajpat Rai, and two associates named Ankur and Neeraj. The situation escalated on March 14, when a brick was thrown into the home of the complainant, Raju Pushpakar, 32. When Pushpakar went outside to investigate, he found the accused outside his house, shouting insults. The suspects, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, attacked Pushpakar with bricks and an iron pipe. When his family tried to help, they were also assaulted. The attackers fled, leaving Pushpakar injured in the street, and his family took him to a hospital for treatment. Pushpakar explained that this conflict traces back to a year prior when his children had a fight with Santosh's children during a community event. Although the initial dispute was resolved, tensions remained, and Pushpakar noted that Santosh's family had threatened them in the past. Police are actively investigating and have charged the accused with multiple counts, including attempted murder and rioting with weapons. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.
