Adrian Wojnarowski reveals prostate cancer diagnosis before retirement from ESPN

Adrian Wojnarowski, a former ESPN NBA insider, revealed he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March, shortly before his retirement in September. He shared this news in a Sports Illustrated profile published on Thursday. Wojnarowski's diagnosis came after a physical showed elevated PSA levels. A biopsy confirmed early-stage cancer, but he stated the prognosis is good. He is currently asymptomatic and undergoing active surveillance. His retirement was not due to his diagnosis. Wojnarowski chose to leave ESPN for a position at St. Bonaventure, accepting a significant pay cut. ESPN has since hired Shams Charania as its new NBA insider.
