"Agatha's Almanac" premieres at CPH:DOX festival in Copenhagen
Lightdox has acquired Amalie Atkins' debut documentary, "Agatha's Almanac," ahead of its world premiere at the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival (CPH:DOX). The film will compete in the Dox:Award section and premieres on Sunday. "Agatha's Almanac" features 90-year-old Agatha Bock, who lives without modern conveniences while preserving heirloom seeds on her ancestral farm. The film was shot over six years by an all-female crew using 16mm film. Atkins, a multidisciplinary artist from Canada, combines traditional storytelling with a hands-on approach. Lightdox will also showcase "Fiume o morte!" by Igor Bezinović at the festival.
