AI tutor Appu launched for young children in India

Rocket Learning has introduced Appu, an AI-powered tutor for young children in India. This app is designed for kids aged 3 to 6 years and aims to enhance early childhood education. The development of Appu involved collaboration with Google.org Fellows. It focuses on important skills such as pre-literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth. Appu is free for users and has already been tested by thousands of families. The goal is to reach 50 million families by 2030. A grant of $1.5 million from Google helped fund this project.
