AICC plans meeting to strengthen grassroots organization in Gujarat
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) will hold a three-day meeting for around 700 District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents. This event will take place on March 27-28 and April 3. The purpose is to implement a new organizational plan aimed at empowering DCCs. The initiative is expected to make DCCs a central part of the Congress organization. It will give DCCs a role in choosing candidates and enhancing the party's grassroots efforts. The pilot project will first take place in Gujarat, where elections are approaching. The decision for this meeting was made during a gathering of AICC general secretaries and party leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. There have been discussions about strengthening DCCs and booth committees, led by a committee headed by Mukul Wasnik. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is also a member of this group.
