Aiken events on March 25 include meetings and performances

The Aiken Republican Club is set to meet on Tuesday, March 25, at Newberry Hall. Doors will open at 11 a.m. with a program starting at noon. Mackenzie Morris will speak about "Cyber Threats and America’s Critical Infrastructure." The entry is $25 for members and $30 for guests. Reservations are needed. Also on Tuesday, there’s a workshop at the Aiken County Public Library at 2:30 p.m. Participants can learn how to use their Android phones and explore various features. Attendees should bring their devices and any questions. The library will host a discussion series, "Let's Talk About Southern Novels," with the book "Erasure" and the movie "American Fiction." The discussion led by Dr. Todd Hagstett will take place at 6:30 p.m. on March 25. In the evening, the Dallas Brass will perform at 7 p.m. at the USC Aiken Etherredge Center. Ticket prices vary from $5 for students to $45 for adults. Another event, "Story Time in the Gardens," will take place at 4 p.m. at Rye Patch. This event is free, and participants are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs. If it rains, it will be held indoors. Multiple support groups will hold meetings throughout the day, including Al-Anon and Celebrate Recovery at various locations.
