Air Force women's basketball hosts Utah Valley WNIT game

The Air Force women's basketball team is set to make history by hosting a postseason game at Clune Arena. They will play against Utah Valley in the first round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) this Friday at 6:30 p.m. This matchup is a rematch, as Air Force previously defeated Utah Valley 76-58 at home in December. The Falcons have a record of 18 wins and 14 losses this season. A win on Friday would tie them with their record of 19 wins from the 2021-22 season, which is the most in the program's NCAA Division I history since it began in 1996. That previous season was also notable, as it marked the only time an Air Force women's team reached the postseason prior to this year. The winner of the game will advance to face Washington in the second round. Army and Navy are participating in the tournament but are in a different bracket.
