Air India has updated its cabin crew policy ahead of the Vistara merger. Layover allowances will increase, and most crew members will share rooms during layovers, except for cabin executives and those on ultra-long haul flights. Previously, all cabin crew were to share rooms regardless of flight duration. The new policy allows single rooms for ultra-long haul flights and cabin executives. The international layover allowance will rise from USD 75-100 to USD 85-135. Additionally, a new support allowance of Rs 1,000 for domestic layovers has been introduced, and meal options will expand from one to three meals. The revised policy will take effect on December 1.
