Air Premia increases Los Angeles flights from Seoul

Air Premia, a South Korean hybrid airline, is making significant changes to its service in the US for 2025. The airline is focusing on expanding flights between Seoul and Los Angeles while reducing its Newark services. Starting March 30, 2025, Air Premia will increase its weekly flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) from seven to ten. The airline plans to add three more weekly flights for the busy summer season, reaching daily flights by August 1, 2025. These flights will use Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, known for being fuel-efficient and comfortable. The flight schedule from Seoul to Los Angeles will include new departure times. For example, a flight will leave Seoul at 10 PM and arrive in Los Angeles the next afternoon. The increase in flights is aimed at capturing more travelers on this popular route amid strong competition from other airlines. In contrast, Air Premia is reducing its service to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). The airline will drop its weekly flights from six to four, cutting Wednesday and Friday departures starting April 18, 2025. However, Air Premia plans to return to daily flights by mid-June, anticipating a rise in travel demand during the summer. Additionally, Air Premia has canceled its planned flights to Honolulu. The Honolulu route, originally set to start on June 2, 2025, has been removed from the schedule. This decision was likely influenced by intense competition from other airlines already offering direct flights between Seoul and Honolulu. Currently, Air Premia operates six Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, with one more on order. The airline’s fleet is modern and averages only six years in age, which helps it remain competitive in the global aviation market.
