Airman charged with murder of missing woman in South Dakota
A U.S. airman, Quinterius Chappelle, 24, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Sahela Sangrait, 21, whose body was found on March 4. She had been missing since August 10. Chappelle, stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, is accused of killing Sangrait on the base. The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and the Air Force. Chappelle is currently held in Pennington County Jail without bond. The U.S. attorney’s office for South Dakota will handle the prosecution of the case.
