Akbar Road signboard defaced in Delhi protest
Three men vandalized the 'Akbar Road' signboard in Delhi on Wednesday. They claimed their actions were a response to the alleged vandalism of Maharana Pratap's statue at the Kashmere Gate ISBT. One of the men, Amit Rathore, defended the act. He said, "India will not tolerate the insult of Maharana Pratap." He also accused local authorities of trying to cover up the statue incident. Another protester, Vijay, explained their motive further. He mentioned they are targeting signboards named after historical figures they view as invaders, such as Akbar and Babur. He urged others to join their cause. The three men are reportedly linked to the Hindu Rashtra Navnirman Sena. Rathore claims to be the national president of the group. Police have not released any further information yet.
