Al-Nassr targets Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhaes for summer transfer
Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team, plans to make a strong bid for Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes this summer. The Brazilian's contract with Arsenal runs until 2027, and the club's new sporting director, Andrea Berta, aims to extend it. However, Al-Nassr is eager to sign him and has already made initial contact. They could offer him a salary of around €20 million, which is three times his current earnings at Arsenal. Magalhaes is focused on helping Arsenal finish the season strong and win the Champions League, but he is open to a move to Saudi Arabia in the future. Arsenal is unlikely to consider any offers below €100 million for the player and prefers he remains with the club. Andrea Berta is busy this summer as Arsenal looks to sign various players, including a striker, attacker, left-back, and backup goalkeeper. Jorginho may leave for Flamengo, leading to the pursuit of a new midfielder. Arsenal is reportedly in advanced talks with Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi and wants to strengthen their squad. Arsenal also has its eye on Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak. However, Newcastle, currently in a strong position after winning the Carabao Cup, is expected to keep their top players. Arsenal is watching Isak closely but faces challenges in acquiring him as he is under contract until 2028. Additionally, RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko is targeted by Arsenal, with a release clause set around €70 million. The club plans to open new contract discussions with Bukayo Saka, whose deal also expires in 2027. Lastly, Arsenal may seek another left-back as Kieran Tierney could leave, and they are creating a list of potential backup goalkeepers to support David Raya.
