Alabama freshman cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe announces transfer after one season
Alabama freshman cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe will transfer after one season with the team. He played in 11 of 12 regular-season games and described his decision as a "business decision" for his personal and professional growth. Wide receiver Emmanuel Henderson, also a five-star recruit, has entered the transfer portal. He primarily served as the team's punt returner but did not have a significant offensive role. Three defensive backs from Alabama have now entered the transfer portal. Safety DeVonta Smith is heading to Notre Dame, and cornerback Jahlil Hurley is joining Kansas. Cornerback Zabien Brown plans to stay with the team.
