Aldi launches mystery hot cross bun flavors for Easter
Shoppers at Aldi are excited about new "mystery flavours" of hot cross buns being sold for just 99p each. The supermarket has introduced three secret varieties, with one already available and the others set to launch in the coming weeks. Aldi's hot cross buns are made by their Village Bakery. The first mystery flavour is on store shelves now, while the second will be released on March 27, and the final one on April 3. Shoppers can try to guess the flavours for a chance to win £1,000, awarded as Aldi vouchers. Julie Ashfield, Aldi UK's Chief Commercial Officer, expressed excitement over the unique flavours and the fun challenge for customers. The buns each contain between 199 and 200 calories. Customers can participate in the guessing game until April 6 by emailing Aldi. More details are available on the Aldi website. In addition to hot cross buns, Aldi is also offering a special Easter treat: an espresso martini egg. This unique chocolate egg comes with its own ready-to-drink cocktail can and costs £9.99. Aldi is expanding its Easter range with luxury chocolate eggs, including a caramel double indulgence egg priced at £11.99. The discount supermarket is well-known for its competitive prices on Easter treats, including reducing prices on popular chocolate brands. They offer various tips for customers looking to save money on chocolate, such as choosing store-brand products and shopping around for deals.
