Aldi launches Rhubarb and Custard Hot Cross Buns
Aldi has introduced a new flavor of hot cross buns, just in time for Easter. These buns, called Rhubarb and Custard Hot Cross Buns, are part of their Village Bakery range. They are attracting a lot of attention from shoppers. The buns are described as a twist on a classic British treat. They contain candied rhubarb pieces and white chocolate chips. The combination of flavors is reported to be enjoyable without being too sweet. Aldi’s hot cross buns are sticky and have a nice glaze. The custard flavor gives the buns a yellow tint, which many find appealing. They cost £1.19 for four buns, making them about 30p each. Aldi is also offering a variety of other flavors this year. These include Raspberry and White Chocolate, Chocolate Brioche, and new Banoffee Hot Cross Buns. The most expensive option is the Specially Selected Luxury Fruited Hot Cross Buns at £1.25 per pack. Their cheapest option is the Village Bakery Fruited Hot Cross Buns, priced at £1.05 for six.
