Alex Walkinshaw joins EastEnders as Vicki's partner
Alex Walkinshaw will soon make his debut in EastEnders as Ross Marshall, the new partner of Vicki Fowler. The character Vicki, played by Alice Haig, is returning to Walford for her Uncle Martin's funeral. Walkinshaw, who is known for his roles in The Bill and Holby City, revealed that he auditioned for a role in EastEnders about 25 years ago. He almost landed a part related to the Moon family but did not succeed at the time. Vicki Fowler has been living in Australia and has returned to England with Ross, who is a bricklayer from Bethnal Green. The couple is described as being very much in love, and Ross has a teenage son named Joel. However, it appears Ross may have his own reasons for being in Walford. He has a hidden debt that he has not fully disclosed. While he wants to support Vicki, he also sees this as a chance to secure financial help from her family. EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7:30 PM on BBC One. Episodes are also available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
