Alia Leat and Jamie Lewis win gymnastics titles in Liverpool
On March 22, 2025, the British Gymnastics Championships crowned new all-around champions in Liverpool. Alia Leat from Heathrow Gymnastics Club won the women’s competition. She scored 52.200 points, beating Frances Stone, who scored 51.350, and Emily Roper with 49.600 points. In the men’s event, Jamie Lewis took first place with a score of 80.200. Jonas Rushworth followed in second with 78.850, and Luke Whitehouse, an Olympian from Paris 2024, placed third with 78.650. The event marked a significant return for Jessica Gadirova, who is recovering from a serious knee injury. She competed on two of the four apparatus for women and qualified for the uneven bars final.
