Altea Ottawa, a new high-end fitness gym, opens on November 20, 2024, in a 129,000-square-foot space at 1660 Carling Ave. It is the largest gym in Ottawa, featuring boutique fitness classes, wellness amenities, and six indoor pickleball courts. The facility includes a cycling studio, hot yoga, boxing studios, and a women's-only fitness area. A 25-metre lap pool and additional amenities will open in spring 2025. Membership fees range from $75 to $100 biweekly, with thousands already signed up. Altea Ottawa joins other locations in Winnipeg, Toronto, and Vancouver. The gym employs nearly 200 staff and offers over 350 classes weekly.
