Altra partners with And Wander for Timp 5 Boa

Altra has teamed up with the Japanese brand And Wander to release a new version of their popular Timp 5 Boa trail running shoe. This collaboration blends outdoor functionality with stylish design, appealing to both adventurers and fashion enthusiasts. The And Wander x Altra Timp 5 Boa is now available online and in select stores. Altra’s president, Jennifer McLaren, explained that both brands share a passion for simplicity in design and the need for practical outdoor gear. She noted that their innovative approach focuses on necessity rather than just novelty. The shoe features a granite gray upper that reflects the alpine environments where both brands test their products. It also includes special reflective elements that appear only in certain lighting conditions. Technical features include the Boa Fit System, a burrito-style construction, Vibram Megagrip outsoles, and breathable mesh uppers. The shoe also has Altra's zero-drop platform for natural foot alignment. And Wander's designer, Keita Ikeuchi, expressed excitement about the partnership. He mentioned their shared commitments to innovation and style, aiming to create a sophisticated trail running shoe that looks great in nature and urban settings. The And Wander x Altra Timp 5 Boa is priced at $200 and comes in men’s and women’s sizes. It can be purchased on Altra's and And Wander's websites and at select premium retailers. Altra has been increasing its collaborations recently, having worked with the Italian brand Roa on a different version of the Timp 5 last December. McLaren highlighted that these partnerships help increase brand awareness and cater to consumer demand for stylish, functional products.
