Alyssa Valdez encourages Shaina Nitura after record achievement

Alyssa Valdez recently praised Shaina Nitura, a rookie from Adamson, for breaking her single-game scoring record in UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball. Nitura scored an impressive 38 points in a game, but unfortunately, the Lady Falcons lost to the University of the Philippines on Sunday. This marked their fourth consecutive loss in the tournament. Despite the loss, Valdez encouraged Nitura to keep pushing forward. Valdez said it's important for athletes to learn from setbacks and continue to grow in their sport. She believes Nitura should stay passionate about volleyball and keep striving for more success. Nitura's record-breaking performance came with 35 kills and three aces, surpassing the previous records held by Valdez and Sisi Rondina. Valdez expressed admiration for Nitura’s talent and hopes she continues to enjoy playing volleyball. The Lady Falcons currently hold a 2-5 record in the tournament. Nitura has been a standout scorer, leading the first round with 170 points from her performances so far.
