Amanda Seyfried discusses childhood modelling insecurities
Amanda Seyfried has shared her feelings about her childhood modeling experiences in a recent video for Vogue Beauty Secrets. Released on March 18, the actress opened up about her insecurities while working as a young model. In the video, Seyfried described how she once hid in a bathroom during a photoshoot. She wanted to apply mascara because nobody was doing it for her. She recalled feeling awkward and unattractive, especially since she had braces at that time. "Everybody was so pretty, and I was just so awkward," the 38-year-old actress said. Seyfried was part of a photoshoot for a children's clothing store called Limited Too, which closed in 2009. She mentioned other child models, including Leighton Meester, and reflected on how they appeared happy and youthful in the pictures, despite the pressure they felt to look good. The actress also talked about her role as a mother. She stressed the importance of helping her 8-year-old daughter feel beautiful and protected. Seyfried emphasized that beauty is not about physical appearance but about how one feels inside.
