AMD leads Amazon CPU sales, Intel struggles to compete

AMD is leading in CPU sales on Amazon, but Intel is still putting up a fight. Recently, AMD held all of the top 15 spots on the best-seller list. This success reflects AMD's popularity among gamers, especially with its Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor. The 9800X3D is priced at $480 and isn't always easy to find. Despite this, gamers consider it the best choice for gaming. Following it, the Ryzen 5 5500 and Ryzen 5 5600X also ranked highly. These processors come from the Zen 3 generation, showing AMD’s ability to keep older models relevant. However, the latest best-seller list reveals that Intel is making a slight comeback. It secured the second, third, twelfth, and thirteenth positions, but most of these are older models that are more affordable. Notably, Intel’s new Arrow Lake processors did not appear in the top 50, indicating that shoppers prefer older, budget-friendly options or continue to choose AMD. This trend marks a change from just a few years ago when Intel was the dominant force.
