AMD unveils next generation handheld gaming PC chipsets at CES 2025
AMD has introduced its new chipset, the Zen 2 Extreme, at CES 2025. This chipset aims to enhance battery life and provide console-like gaming performance for handheld devices, such as the Lenovo Legion Go. In addition to the Zen 2 Extreme, AMD launched the Z2 and Z2 Go models, which also feature Zen 5 CPU cores. These advancements address the battery drain issues that have limited high-end handheld gaming. AMD also unveiled its "Fire Range" HX3D processors for gaming laptops, incorporating a 3D V-cache design. This technology improves gaming performance and reduces temperatures, promising better performance for upcoming gaming laptops.
